Cheyenne Frontier Days the 122nd “Daddy of ‘em all” ®

Cheyenne Frontier Days is less than a month away! Are you ready?

This year’s festivities start on July 20th and run through July 29th. The “Daddy of ‘em all” ® is in its 122nd year this year. This year there will be a new opening day celebration. This will include a vendor scavenger hunt, wagon rides in the arena, new musical acts on various stages, and a new Wild West show that will be demonstrating some of Cheyenne Frontier Days’ unique history of the last 122 years. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 am on July 20th to kick off this event and it will end at 4:30pm.

2018 Night Show Line-up

This year’s night show line-up is as follows:

  • July 20th Florida Georgia Line with Michael Ray
  • July 21st Cole Swindell with Chase Rice and Morgan Evans
  • July 22nd Charlie Daniels Band with Tracy Lawrence
  • July 25th Eric Church with Chris Janson
  • July 26th Nickelback with Pop Evil
  • July 27th Toby Keith with Bobby Bones & the Raging Idiots and Ned Ledoux
  • July 28th Dierks Bentley with Kip Moore

Championship Bull Riding/Professional Bull Riding

This year, there is a unique opportunity to see two of the best groups of cowboys in the sport of bull riding compete back to back. Monday July 23rd will feature Professional Bull Riding (PBR). There will be 30 of the best PBR riders competing in this event. Then on Tuesday July 24th Championship Bull Riding will bring their best riders to compete to become the World Champion in the Road to Cheyenne Finals. There is a $100,000 bonus up for grabs by the best of the best.

Daily Attractions

The fun does not stop at the night show attractions and the opening day celebration! Starting on July 21st and running until the finals on July 29th there is a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association daily rodeo. There is also shopping, a carnival, and live music on various stages daily. There will be pancake breakfasts on July 23rd, 25th, and 27th. The parades run July 21st, 24th, 26th, and 28th. There will be several military events throughout the week. Fort DA Russell Days is held July 20th – 23rd and is held on F.E. Warren Airforce Base. The US Airforce Thunderbirds airshow is being held on July 25th at Laramie County Community College. The Wyoming National Guard open house is also held on July 25th. The US Navy Leap Frogs will be putting on performances throughout the week. There really is something for everyone at the 122nd “Daddy of ‘em all”® Cheyenne Frontier Days!
